Who is Sue?

Susan Young - 295x295 - Blue BorderSusan Young broke into the fiercely competitive news business at the ripe age of 12. Perched on the banana seat atop her sturdy 1974 green stingray bicycle with wire baskets on the back, Susan delivered newspapers on her neighborhood paper route in Edison, NJ. Since then, she’s been hooked on the news!

Today, Susan’s an expert in news and communication. From her bicycle she moved into the broadcasting booth in newsrooms. She spent the first ten years of her career “managing chaos” as a news director and on-air reporter at radio stations in the New Jersey/New York media market. She has won top awards from The Associated Press and the NJ Broadcasters Association. Susan was also the Deputy Director of the Office of Radio & TV for NJ Governor Christie Whitman, and was public relations director for a statewide non-profit.  In 2000, she opened her award-winning public relations firm.

These days, you can see and hear Susan talking about how blogging and leveraging social media grows businesses. She works with organizations who want to increase their visibility, credibility and revenues…online.    (On Twitter @sueyoungmedia)

Her book, Communicating with Confidence: Tips & Techniques for Powerful Business Communication, is available at www.getinfrontcommunications.com.

Susan, her husband, their two teenage children and two cats moved from New Jersey to San Antonio, TX in 2006.
